                      Summary

In a legal case in the Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court Appellate Division, Manan Jain (Claimant/Respondent) sought a refund of QAR 33,000 from Devisers Advisory Services LLC (Defendant/Appellant) for immigration consultancy services. Mrs. Jain's medical condition prevented her from continuing with the visa application, which led to the dispute. The First Instance Circuit ruled in favor of Mr. Jain, citing Article 33 of the QFC Contract Regulations on mistake, entitling him to terminate the contract and claim a refund. On appeal, the Appellate Division granted permission and ordered Devisers to pay QAR 28,000 plus interest to Mr. Jain.
