The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC), in collaboration with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre (WIPO AMC) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the International Law Association – GCC Branch, organised a specialised workshop entitled “Advanced Arbitration and Mediation in Intellectual Property and Technology Disputes.”
The programme was designed for lawyers, judges, legal advisers, and policymakers, with the aim of deepening understanding of advanced arbitration and mediation mechanisms in resolving intellectual property and technology disputes.
Sessions provided practical insights into WIPO’s arbitration and mediation rules, court-referred mediation, regional best practices, effective drafting of dispute resolution clauses, and case studies illustrating the application of these tools in practice.
