6th Full Meeting of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts (SIFoCC)

The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) participated in the 6th Full Meeting of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts (SIFoCC), held in India.

The QICDRC hosted the 5th Full Meeting in Doha in 2024.

The meeting brought together senior judges and court leaders from commercial courts worldwide to discuss judicial cooperation, court innovation, and best practices in international commercial adjudication.

QICDRC’s participation reflects its ongoing engagement in global judicial dialogue and collaboration.

Three of the QICDRC Judges are on the SIFoCC Steering Committee – Lord Thomas (who chaired the Steering Committee up to now), Sir William Blair and James Allsop AC.

    Through its supervisory arbitrational jurisdiction under Law No 2 of 2017 issuing the Arbitration Law in Civil and Commercial Matters, parties can elect the QICDRC as the “Competent Court” of arbitration to perform various functions in relation to interim measures, enforcement of awards and appeals.
