Summary

In the name of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court Appellate Division granted permission to appeal and allowed the appeal of Kashif Kamal Raja against Patron Network LLC. The Court set aside the 4 September 2025 Order and remitted the claim to the First Instance Circuit. Raja claimed the settlement was obtained through unjustified threats by Patron, which Patron denied. The court considered whether threats were made and if they left Raja no reasonable alternative but to agree to the settlement. The case involved enforcement of a QFC Employment Standards Office determination ordering Patron to pay Raja QAR 119,695.21.
